installation error : R2007b on Mac Os X 10.7.3

Hi,
While installing I get the following error: critical error during installation : could not run command "tar -xf" /Users/..../mathworks_downloads/R2007b/unix/matlab.maci" - C/var/folders/2f/wf4v..../T/Mathworks_installer_...".
Any advice?
