Host Matlab GUI in C# WPF application

I have one Matlab GUI. Is there any way to host this Matlab GUI in my C# WPF GUI? I was thinking of the following two approaches. 1. Compile Matlab GUI as a stand-alone exe. Let WPF panel to host external application. 2. Compile Matlab GUI as .NET assembly. Let WPF user control to host Matlab GUI.
Have anybody done the similar tasks? Any help is highly appreciated.
