MATLAB keep on asking for activation

I am new to MATLAB and have come across a problem after installing MATLAB on Windows 10. When the installation finishes, I moved on to software activation and provided all the information required. However, when I want to launch MATLAB R2017a, it just launch the activation module again and ask for the same set of information. I have gone through activation for several times but still not able to use the features in MATLAB. May I know if how this could be solved please? Thank you.

I (was) having the exact same issue. Used answer below, right click on program, select "run as administrator", entered password. Matlab opened right up.

if u have installed r2017a , then replace 2014 by 2020 in licence file

You may need to use Run As Administrator once, in order to allow MATLAB to write to the proper license file.
