How to tune PI controller from input/output data

Hello i'm still pretty new to matlab and i have an urgent matter about close loop PI controller I have a function C that changes in time and i have to track the reference value C1 So basically my error will be e=C1-C so this is the input My output has to be a function that in the next step will modify C1 to try to make it like C1
I have the data numbers from the function so how can i find the proportional and integral gain for the PI controller? Please help me Thanks
