How to read and store GPS data

Anybody knows how I can read and store the data from my BU-353 GPS device into matlab? There are several strings and I need Time ,Lat,Lon. Thanks

I have already done and seen these answers but these are not what am looking for. Very short and imperfect answers. Just one answer isn't cure-all at all. Think about it.
