The function LegendreP is not working ...
Mostra commenti meno recenti
Hi,
I think I have the wrong matlab version (maybe I need an update), but is there any way I can tell matlab that there is a function called legendreP and that it should use it?...
Thanks for your answer in advance.
Best Regards,
Ahmed

Add it to your path if it is your own function. If you mean the one in the Symbolic Math Toolbox then if you have the license and a Matlab version >= R2014b it should be found automatically, if you don't have the license or you have too old a version you don't have access to the function.

Well, only your university can control that. There's nothing anyone in the forum can do about you not having access to it if the university Matlab version is too old.
Also please don't paste Mathworks functions into the forum, even if it is a one line function calling an internal function (I deleted the offending post).

No matter how much you want this to happen, you cannot make an old release recognize a newer function. I have heard that if you happen to own a pair of ruby slippers, then clicking the heels together may work. Well, it may work some of the time. Do you know the way to Kansas? ;-)
Tell the university to get their act together. Yeah, like that will work. Maybe you can get some ruby slippers. The odds of success will be higher.
