Matlab non Linear PDE convergence

Why Matlab PDE non linear is converging so slow in some problems. Is it because the function is singular at the optimal? How can I solve convergence issue?

I have a few questions to help diagnose the issue.

1) Can you post the code (and the PDE(s)) that is running slowly?

2) How much longer is it taking for these specific PDEs to converge than others on your system? You can collect time data using the MATLAB functions "tic" and "toc".
