Why do I receive an error when I try to run MatLab (R2017b)?

1 visualizzazione (ultimi 30 giorni)
Downloaded and Installed Matlab fine. I was able to access it yesterday however when I tried to access it today the following message appeared: "C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2017b\bin\win64\boost_system-vc140-mt-1_56.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc0000020"
This is not the first time I've had this message, I have uninstalled and reinstalled MatLab multiple times and yesterday I factory reset my laptop and reinstalled MatLab. I am on Windows 10.

Apparently in the end it was due to Antivirus being activated on my laptop. I didn't think I had antivirus on, but apparently McAfee had given me a free 30 day trial without me noticing. I deleted and uninstalled everything Matlab related off my laptop. I then temporarily disabled the McAfee "Firewall" and "Real Time Scanning" features whilst I reinstalled matlab. It seems to be working fine.... for now.

This is most likely caused by a firewall, antivirus, or other security software. You must be able to access esd.mathworks.com for downloads.
Disable any such software and try again.
