how to translate and rotation a curve?

I have one parabola and one circle. they are separated. i want to translate and rotate one of them so that they touch each other. How can I do that?

It is important to think about your problem to break it up into small steps. Rotating a circle doesn't have an effect, so with that one you'll only have the option of translation. What is it you want to achieve? Do you want a plot of the result, or do you want the algebraic result?

You can use the solve function, but otherwise this isn't really a Matlab question if you want an algebraic solution.
