How do I get the 7.14.2 MCRInstaller?

Our customer has provided an executable that asks for the MCR Runtime Installer and cannot find mclmcrrt7_14_2.dll. We do not and are not able to have MATLAB on that computer. On a licensed system I installed MATLAB 2010bSP2 , but the MCRInstaller and path are not there. Will a newer MCR work. Can I get the older installer from Mathworks?

In releases as old as that, the license terms for MATLAB Compiler required that the person who created the executable with MATLAB Compiler was responsible for providing MCR to the people authorized to use the executable, and further required that the authors have access controls on downloading MCR, permitting only members of the same organization or individually authorized users to download MCR.
Therefore, your client needs to obtain the MCR from the person who created the executable.
MCRInstaller is provided as part of the MATLAB Compiler product: if you were to install MATLAB Compiler for R2010bSP2 then you would find the appropriate MCRInstaller.
No other version of MCR will work.

Hi Walter, Thanks for the info. I did install MATLAB 2010bSP2 on my computer (not the one that needs the runtime) with licensed tools but the path for the MCR installer does not get created. That exe file is not in any other location under C:\Program Files\MATLAB or other common directories. Is the MATLAB compiler a separate product? Does is get installed with that basic MATLAB package? Thanks!
MATLAB Compiler is a separate and quite expensive product; if I recall correctly it is either about $US5500 or $US6800 (I get confused about which, as it has been quite a few years since I saw the price list.)
