I'm working on improving the visualization of ultrasound images of goiter(caused by hypothyroidism)using image processing algorithms

"Improving" is a wide field. Please explain any details. Because you want to increase the contrast, or sharpen the edges, or reduce the noise, or change the gamma value.

Your objective would be more appropriately directed to differentiating potentially malignant nodules from benign thyroid enlargement.
