How to add more lables to x axis?

In this plot, the X axis does not clearly indicates the values. The different between each point is 500. How to reduce it to 200, like the plot below?
Code to generate CDF:
[f,x] = ecdf(sample1);
plot(x,f,'r'); hold on;
[f2,x2] = ecdf(sample2);
plot(x2,f2,'g'); %CDF

x = 1:10 ;
y = rand(1,10) ;
plot(x,y) ;
set(gca,'XTick',0:0.5:10)
