NUMBER OF OCCURRENCE OF AN ELEMENT IN AN ARRAY

Is there any code to find the number of occurrence of an element in an array

for eg: A=[1,2,3,4,2,3,5,6]

here 2 and 3 have repeated twice and all other elements have repeated once.

How can i get this information ?
