Why is the figure not displaying anything ?

whether i make a plot or draw a figure, the figure pops up but does not contain any image. please help.

1. Need to remove unit8 from the newImg(i,j) .
2. It is not defined earlier in the programme.
3. The figure in last command , need to have ';' at the end.
