How to clear the whole field in edit text?

I have a GUI and one of it's function is to show some strings in edit text. It's working well, but only before the field ends. How can I clear the whole field, not only one string? I want to make a loop or something that prints the strings one by one, then, when the end of the field comes, clears it and continues to print from the same moment.

Set the edit control String property to {} if Max is set to 2 or more, or to '' if Max is set to 1
