Is it possible to conditionally broadcast variables in parfor loops?

I have a variable that is either used as a broadcast variable or independently assigned for each loop in a parfor loop. The workaround I have is to assign the broadcast value or the loop-assigned value to a temporary variable in the loop, but this seems to be an unnecessary step and doubles the memory requirements for the broadcast variable. Is there a more elegant solution?

I can't quite picture how your current code is working - is there any chance you could post a minimal example.
