Simulink Desktop Real-Time kernel time out with 2018a

4 visualizzazioni (ultimi 30 giorni)
Hi everyone,
When using the 2017b version of Matlab/Simulink, I was able to run the Real-Time kernel without any problems with synchronization. I've since updated to 2018a, and when trying to run the basic example "sldrtex_vdp" in normal mode, I get multiple warnings of: The "Real-Time Synchronization" block has timed out while trying to synchronize to real-time kernel
Then an error, saying that the real-time kernel has failed. I've had a mess around with my computers BIOS setting to allow non-power savings, and I'm still getting this issue. Is there any issues with 2018a and the Real-Time Kernel that I need to know of (had a look in the release notes and noting jumped out at me) that could be causing this issue that I am seeing?
Regards, Thomas

Sagar, hi.
Did you manage to solve this issue to use ThingSpeak on Simulink?

Same problem with 2017a and 2018a on more than ten Windows 10 computers with latest patches. All of them have an Intel i5 cpu. We have four computers with Intel i3 (Windows 10, 2017a) with same software config, which run the Real-Time kernel without problems. https://www.mathworks.com/support/bugreports/1719571 is installed. With Windows 7 the Real-Time kernel runs on our Intel i5 computers.
Best regards, Alexander

I'm done the installation from https://www.mathworks.com/support/bugreports/1719571. My OS is win10 64 and my matlab version is 2016b. The problem of time out was solved.
