Matlab on Debian Linux not working.

Whenever i run the matlab binary script from the matlab directory it always asks me to activate the software. After doing it several times i have not been able to run the software. Please assist me to understand if i am doing something wrong.

Obviously the activation is not successful. So please explain exactly, how you are trying to activate and which messages you get.
