How can I convert sampled HDM data to PSD data?

Hello,
I have sampled data random vibration data in HDM data acquisition system and converted into a MATLAB-format from a experiment. The problem I am facing is that I need to have the data in a PSD (power spectral density) data format for further work with my simulations.
Therefore, I am wondering how to write a code, which can take the HDM data and convert it to PSD data?

Hello Philip,
I am working under the assumption that “vibration data in HDM data acquisition system and converted into a MATLAB-format …” implies that the data acquired is stored as a MATLAB array or matrix in a MAT-file (“.mat” extension).
Under these conditions, the function “pwelch” can be used to obtain the power spectral density (PSD) estimate of the input signal, found using Welch's overlapped segment averaging estimator.
