Hello, I have a small problem using CERR for protontherapy purposes. I want to extract a matrice of the spots to treat and their energy from a dicom file. However I have no idea of how to do that. I'm stuck for 2 days now and it's quite frustrating. Is it something to dot with the getPBRays ? If somebody has an idea or a clue on how to do this, it would be a pleasure.

If you want data from a dicom file, why doesn't dicomread work for you?
Getting a solution will always require a clear description of a problem. This will most of the times be enough to solve your own problems, but when it doesn't, it will help others help you.
Can you confirm you're trying to work with this CERR? Where this is the function you're referring to?

Hi, Maybe I wasn't clear enough. CERR is a matlab based platform for radiological research (https://github.com/cerr/CERR). I have a file of a CT scan from a patient. They are three important data on this file, the scan, the structures (organes) and the dose. At the beginning I thought to extract the dose data for each CT slice but it's not what they ask me to do. They wanted me to extract the spot map of the beam for each layer. The function I was referring to is in C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2018a\toolbox\CERR-master\IMRTP Thanks for helping me

I think that the first thing to distinguish is if your problem is about the data, or about the processing. That is, can you visualise those "spots" from the spot map? If so, you have then to process, if not, then you need to read the data. Why don't you add a figure of what you need to extract and that would help guide the answers.

I need to extract data from this DICOM file. I probably need to process them, but later. The problem is really 6teh extraction. Here a drawing for yout to understand better the problem.
