How can I download a zip file from Matlab online to my desktop?

Hi,

I have a folder in Matlab online, and I zipped it as a zip file. How can I download this zip file to my desktop?

I tried "save as", but doesn't work.

I think there are two ways.

1. Select a zip file and click "Download" button.

The file will be downloaded in your desktop.

2. Install MATLAB Drive Connector on your desktop from here and synchronize your files between MATLAB Online and your desktop.

3. Access MATLAB Drive online and download

Access to https://drive.matlab.com/files/ and select a file and click "Download". I have confirmed I could download a zip file whose file size is more than 200MB.

Thanks for your reply. I can download other files, but unable to download the zip file I want. It just has no reaction after I clicked the download button you've mentioned. Would the file size matter? The zip file is more than 30Mb.

Yes, I've confirmed that download failed without a message when the file size was large (202MB in my case).

However, I could download it from MATLAB Drive online, so how about the option 3 of my updated answer?

Sounds good!

Downloading of a large file size occurs error 500 (internal server error) in MATLAB Online, so I've reported this issue to MathWorks. So far, we need to use Option 3 as a workaround.

The previous issue that caused the error was addressed in a subsequent release, so all methods work now. :)

in the version i am using I cannot find any upload/download buttons, but luckily the third method helped and I downloaded my m files from https://drive.matlab.com/files/

This may be a late answer, but it may be useful for new Malab Online users. At the time of writing, if you want to download multiple files online locally without any special setup, they must be selected individually and only then is the Download option available.

So either there are two options: download the files individually or as it is mentioned in a previous comment, compress the files with eg. "Create Zip File" option from the right click context menu and then download the zip file.
