Can anyone suggets me to save comsol model object using matlab

I am running COMSOL with MATLAB and simulating a COMSOL model using MATLAB. I used mphgeom(model) to view the output which I am getting. I tried to save my workspace data but it is giving errors stating:

Warning: Type: Surface
Tag: surf1
Operation: Surface is not serializable 
Error using save
Can't write file C:\Users\EEE\Desktop\as_function_code\b.mat.

Can someone suggest me how to save the workspace data that is saved when we run COMSOL with MATLAB?
