Retime- custom method for filling missing values (missing api)
Mostra commenti meno recenti
Hi, In the retime function page - there is an option to use a custom function for the "method", but there is no documentation for the api- what this function receives and what it should give back... (I assume- the timetable on both sides?)
This is a documentation bug, to my opinion.
Many thanks!

Example would be helpful, indeed...
For inputs, you could write a function with varargin as its input and set a breakpoint in the function and then inspect what one gets...output is more of a guess.

Shira, I think you are referring to the syntax where you pass a function handle into retime as the value of the 'Method' parameter, right?
The doc does say this:
"Use the function specified by the function handle (for example, @std to calculate the standard deviation for the values in each time bin). func must return an output argument that is a scalar or a row vector, and must accept empty inputs."
But you are correct, it doesn't say what the input is, and there's no example. I'll make a note to have that clarified.
For the record, the function takes as input a "chunk" of each timetable variable, where a chunk is the rows within each time bin that you've specified.
