How to change scale of ploted graph of an axis

The x-axis of the plotted i wanted to be in term of step size of 0.1 but currently my graph show step size of 0.2 , how do i change it?

xmin and xmax are the axes limits.

set(gca,'xtick',xmin:.1:xmax)

What is gca and xtick mean?

gca refers to the handle of the current axes. If you have multiple axes in the same script, then you need to put this line of code directly after the plot, or replace gca by a handle to the axes in question.

xtick is the axes property controlling the location of ticks on the x-axis, i.e. the small vertical lines. The input should be a vector with all your desired ticks. Try for yourself and you'll figure it out.

gca should remains as is. For example:

set(gca,'xtick',0:.1:1)

Will give you an x axis with marks on 0, 0.1, 0.2, ... 1

How to do the same for y-axis. I mean how can y-axis can be rescaled once the figure has been drawn.
