How to lot a point on a map given the distance along a road

So I've got lots off data of points along dutch highways. I would like to visualize this data on a map of the dutch highways. The data I can use to plot with contains a road number (like "A9") and a kilometer indication (like "47,532") meaning this point is situated on the A9 at kilometer 47 and 532 meters. I've worked with a Google maps tool before with Matlab but this was using GPS coordinates which I don't have now and there is way to much data to map it by hand.

I have no idea where to start looking for this so any help is welcome.
