is anyone has running code for color to depth mapping using kinect?

Out of those 484 items in this link, not a single one has a way to deal with Kinect depth data? I find that hard to believe. It looks like many of them have Kinect images open and displayed.

One of them even says "includes mexfunction code calling "Kinect for Windows SDK" to receive depth data and color image from Kinect".

Another one says "Will load an recorded Kinect file, and show the depth and image movie."

MATLAB has even uploaded toolboxes to help you.

How do all of these 484 code submissions work if they can't even get the depth image from Kinect? I gotta believe at least one of them opens a kinect file and gets the depth data from it.

thanks for your kind concern. i have done capturing color and depth images and also saved the data of depth to color space (x,y) and color to camera space (x,y,z).now i want to map x,y coordinates upon x,y,z. coordinates. kindly guide me about this.how i can do.thanks

Looks like text files to me. Can't you just use importdata() or similar functions?

i have color image. depth image and color2depth space coordinate and color to camera space coordinates. now i want to do fruit detection and then want to do 3D reconstruction but dont know much about it that how to do.kindly guide me.thanks

I can't guide you with Kinect because I don't have the device. Not sure how it would be used to detect fruit though.

They have been countless posts on fruit. Just search for the tag fruit and you'll find lots. In addition, check out my File Exchange for color segmentation demos.

alright. not too much info relTED TO KINECT IN MATLAB. first trying to make 3D. untill now i have color image, depth image and depth2color (x,y) and color2camera coordinates (x,y,z),.no idea how to make 3D from these
