Can any one please tell why I am not getting the proper plot?

I am trying to run the code but the plot I am getting different. The figure 2 in the code, the plot has x axis from 1-9 and y axis from -1 to 1. But the values of the XADJUSTEDn and YADJUSTEDn are varying between -1 to1 similarly the value of V is also vaying between -1 to 1. Then why My plot is showing x axis 1-9.

I assume that the x axis 1-9 shows the number of column. How about:

plot(X,Y,'+');
