What is required format of excel and mat files to import multiple sets of parameter overrides into test manager?

I'm going to create multiple tests iteration based on paramtere overrides. Setting them all in test manager would be long and paintful. What should be format of excel and mat (what data structures are required) files to import such configuration of parameter overrides.

in other words, how can import following configuration:

Parameter set 1

Parameter 1 :1

Parameter 2 :1

Parameter set 2

Parameter1 :2

Parameter2 :2

.......

Parameter set N

Parameter1 :N

Parameter2 :N

Not sure if parameters can be loaded using .mat or excel file. But you can add parameter programmatically using API
