[HELP NEEDED] MATLAB download freeze on ubuntu 18.04

Hi all, I am trying to install matlab on my ubuntu 18.04. I have matlab license from the institution and do the sudo installation accordingly.

The problem is that whenever I get to the download stage, it stuck/freeze at less than 2 percent and pop-up error telling me the download has to restart.

So apparently googling "matlab download freeze" tells me that this is a common occurrence on windows due to security settings/firewall etc.

So I turned off my ubuntu UFW, but the issue persisted even after rebooting.

May I know anyone has similar experience and how did you overcome this? Thanks!

I am having the exact same problem on windows. it gets to 21% and just freezes. This is now my fourth attempt to download but get to the same point each time and it freezes.
