Integrated square error (ISE) for discrete time systems

I have a continious time open loop system that I disretize after implementing a control algorithm on it. I was wondering if I can use the same ISE formula which is valid for continious systems for my discrete time system? or does ISE correspond to sum of squared error (SSE) in discrete time?
