Username and activation.

Matlab asked me if I wanted to use a new username, while it had provided me the correct one.

I filled in a new user name. Then when it completed and I clicked the icon to run.

An error message and it led to the link that it was the user name.

I got the computer vol number what do I do with it?

I dont mind reverting to the set computer name but it provided an option.

Its been 2 hours since I started the purchase, and now at this juncttion.

Does this mean, that you try to install Matlab currently? Which dialog exactly asked for the user name? If te correct name was provided already, why did you select a new one? What has completed what and which "icon to run" did you press? Please post a copy of the error message, if you mention, that there is one.

What is "the computer vol number"?

I deactivated then uninstalled. I found a pdf user guide on the installation and found where the volume number and computer identification (make up own) was made known. I did not get to this box the first time, may had missed. So during re-install I filled in these fields. It installed. One comment was made during re-install on the Coder it said MinGW64 should be installed or a component of it. I clicked continue and that was it.

My first install was all a single process started from purchase. So maybe there was a missing gap! Re-install was done thru the install application file. Thanks for your comment(s).
