Geotiff custom tags handling

Hi!

I would like to be able to handle custom tags in geotiffs.

I need both to read and write the tag so that the geotiffinfo function does only half of the job.

To be more specific i would like to handle the 42113 GDAL nodatavalue tag (see here for more information)

can anyone suggest a smart way to do it?
