Is that on Catalina ?
And what MATLAB release? R2019a or 2019b?
We can read off R2019b from the title bar.
yes, it is on the macos Catalina version 10.15.
I can confirm I have the same problem. Catalina 10.15 and both matlab R2019a and R2019b.
I also have the same problem on R2019a, macOS Catalina 10.15.
The same problem happens on R2019b, Catalina 10.15
I have the same problem - and hopeing for a fix soon!
I have the same problem - iMac with macOS Catalina 10.15.2 and Matlab R2019b Update 3. Very frustrating!

You can try the following commands:
>> s = settings
>> s.matlab.web.LightweightBrowserDefaultType.PersonalValue = 'cef';
This is a workaround which can solve your problem.

Thanks, unfortunately the suggested workaround does not seem to work.
Please see the attached plot.
Is there any other possibility? I have a few paper submission deadline coming up...
Best regards

Who has any better idea because I found the same probem (Mac OS 10.15+ Matlab 2019a/b)?
Hey guys,
Same problem here. MacOs Catalina, updated from 2019a to 2019b and still no property inspector....
Any solutions so far?
Thanks!

Hey all,
I got it to work last night... basically, I saw a thread where people claim there might be a problem between MatLab and NVidia graphics cards. This made me think to try to switch between energy saving modes (like using both intel and NVidia GPU graphics power) to just power mode (just NVidia). You can find this in MacOs settings under “energy preferences” (little lamp bulb icon)...
Long story short, it somehow worked. I still have no idea how, since I switched to NVidia graphics card only and back...
Hopefully this helps you as well. Also, looks like it is only 15” MBP problem. I didn’t see others to complain about the same (correct me if I’m wrong)
Thanks all!
This changes nothing for me. I turned off graphics card switching, tried to close and reopen matlab, tried to reboot the laptop... No difference at all, the property inspector remains an empty window.
This did not work for me. There is no "Energy Saving Modes" option on MacOS Catalina...

Known issue and that torture me too.
Recently, R2019b update 4 may fix this issue. Try to update.
>> s = settings
>> s.matlab.web.LightweightBrowserDefaultType.PersonalValue = 'cef';
Try this commands, then, try to close and reopen Matlab. it's work perfectly for me:
macOS Big Sur, v 11.0.1
Matlab 2019b
