What algorithm makecform and applycform use for rendering intents?

But I wonder what algorithm behind of makecform and applycform function for gamut mapping?

And in the function makecform page: https://www.mathworks.com/help/images/ref/makecform.html#d117e225667

It's only about 4 kinds of rendering intents, but does not mention anything about the algorithm behind.
