Is it still not possible in the newer versions to compile Symbolic Math Toolbox?

syms x
that I can use?

Its a known issue and our developers are aware about it and will try to fix it in future releases.
As a workaround you can try converting it to function handles and evaluate numerically as suggested by Mohammad.
