How to overlay 3D curve on surf in APP DESIGNER

Hi,
I know it is possible to overlay a 3D curve on a surf plot in MATLAB: https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/67547-overlay-curves-on-an-existing-surface-plot
Now, I need to do the same/similiar thing in MATLAB APP DESIGNER. But I could not figure this out. Could someone please help me?

Can't you disable facecoor property?
surf(x,y,z,'facecolor','none')
Or you can set alpha value
surf(x,y,z,'facealpha',0.5)
