writing backslash in equation directs cursor to 'Search documentation' among other bugs in Ubuntu 18.04

I installed Matlab realse 2020 on my Ubuntu 18.04. It works fine but for the bug that whenever I write "\" in for example live editor to enter an equation, the cursor moves to the top right search bar. So when trying to write "\delta", instead I write "\" and search for "delta" in the documentation. That happens also sometimes randomly. Needless to say this is very very annoying and makes wirting live editor files almost impossible to do without going crazy :D

Did you try the same you mentioned in Equation mode?

I tried to reproduce the issue but It is working fine at my end.

I assume you followed the steps as mentioned in the following link to insert your equation in live editor

Unfortunately I could not reproduce the same at my end. Since you are very sure of this being a bug, you can report your bug:
