fitting data to differentital equation

I wound my own transformer and thought it should be straight forward to get the inductance if I recorded the voltages of the circuit across the 3 ohm series resistor, and the drive voltage applied by a DS345 Function Generator. I cannot figure out from the MatLab examples how to have it fit the inductance value and the resistance of the coil from the data I have recorded. An ohm meter measures the coil resistance as 169 Ohms, but I thought that should come out of the fit. Please help me see how to write the MatLab code to fit this situation.
