If I create an Enumerated class that inherits from Simulink.IntEnumType, do users of that class require a Simulink license?

I would like to have a set of enumerated classes in a toolbox that can be used in both MATLAB and Simulink.

If I use a more standard type such as int32 what will be lost in Simulink?
