Can I add a file path for a document that is not on my desktop using the SPM12 program in MatLab?

I am wishing to change the file path of items in the batch of items I am using to conduct a fMRI analysis and would like to know if its possible to change the file path without having the items or documents saved on my desktop? If I had the file paths I needed in say a word document am I able to feed these paths into the batch editor? So instead of selecting the 'Edit' menu and the 'Add item' and then navigating to the document on my desktop I wish to add, could I add a file path that matches the location of the file on my colleague's desktop?
Thanks!

You can export the batch, which is a .m file, then you can edit the path programmatically.
