1개의 변수에 할당 가능한 최대 메모리 용량이나, 행렬 사이즈가 제한되어 있나요?

예를 들어 컴퓨터에 128GB 메모리가 있다면, 변수는 컴퓨터 메모리 용량에 준하게 할당 가능한지? 아니면 Matlab에 제한되어 있는 사이즈가 있나요?
