How to find which curve fit best to another curve

Hi. I have one set of experimental data (X1, Y1) and 100 sets of numerical model driven data (x1-x100, y1-y100). Could you please help me to find which of those numerical results fit best with the test results? Is there any function in matlab to compare two curves or data series?

To fit a polynomial read about polyfit. For curve fetting read about cftool, fit.
To comapre the two curves..use the difference between them and get the error, absolute error, relative error, RMS error.
