I'm using the ATT face archive and I need to be able to read 1 image from each folder. There are 40 folders in total with 10 pictures of the same person in different positions. I split the photos 70% training and 30% validation. I need to read 1 image from each folder of the validation set, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to do that.

Does this example help you? It uses imageDatastore.

Or you could also make use of dir command.
