analog input to trigger digital output

Greetings,

I would like to trigger a digital output based on analog input activity with ~1msec resolution. I would like to do it using a single NI 6008, but I could also use two separate NI 6008 if needed.

1. Is this possible with NI-6008? Can someone point me to an example/demo that might help me accomplish this?

2. What is the fastest way to accomplish this type of immediate output triggering based on real-time analog input? i.e. what would the code look like?
