Imaq's preview() vs CV's vision.Dep​loyableVid​eoPlayer

Is there a performance difference between Image acquisition toolbox's preview function and computer vision toolbox's DeployableVideoPlayer? I'm trying to display a UHD image live from a camera in GUIDE axes using preview() and the frames update slow. Seems like frame rate is 25% of what the preview() actually tells me it is. When I see the live feed in vendor application the 21FPS feed looks quite smooth. I'm using Intel NUC with i5 8th gen (Intel iris 655 graphics). Is the problem with Matlab-Intel Iris combination?
