Original question by Mujtaba Allawati retrieved from Google Cache:
Function for day of the year
How do I write a function shows the weekday corresponding to that day of year. For example, the user will enter a number less than 366 and will get the weekday in that year.

Try something like this
d = 50;
y = 2020;
out = datestr(datetime(y,1,0)+d, 'dddd')
Result
>> out
out =
'Wednesday'
