Interpolate coordinates between known gps fixes

Hi all, I’ve been having a search for sometime but can’t seem to find exactly what I’m after.

I have a series of gps fixes from some ship tracks along with the time of the fixes. The gps went down for a short time. I would like to find (estimate - I’m assuming a straight line during the down time) all the points between the last known gps point and the next known gps point at 10 second intervals.

Hi Thomas,

You can represent your gps fixes as timeseries in MATLAB. You can plot your timeseries data to see the missing points. You can have a look at interploation techniques for timeseries with linear interpolation to get the missing values.
