circular fitting of a semicircle

Dear all,

I would like to fit a semicircle to a circumference considering only the blu point in the figure below and excluding the red points that are "cutting the circle". How can a distinguish this two classes of points?, thank you

Hi RR. I too am looking for solution for the similar problem. In my case I have only blue points and I want to fit a semicircle and find its centre and radius.

Could you share the solution please?
