Unable to entry the license key at installation

When I am trying to install Matlab, I am not able to entry the licese key path or anything at the intallation. As seen in the image.
When I try to type or paste anything in the textfield, nothing happens
Is there a way around to enter the license file path (by saving it at the right place), or is there another way around this?
I am using Archlinux.

This is not the license key, but the file installation key. You get one, if you install Matlab from a DVD or image. For an online installation, select the 2nd option.
This then sends me to mathworks.com to obtain said license file.
Do I just need it to save in a particular foder, that matlab will dedect it by itself?

Yes, this is correct. There is a "licenses" subfolder in Matlab's program folder under Windows. I guess, this is exists under Linux also.
At least in the root directory there isnt any folder called "licenses".
The Directories there are: "archives", "bin", "cefclient", "help", "java", "libselinux", "resources", "src", "sys" and "ui"
"archives"? Which root directory is this? The one of the installer? I meant the folder of the already installed application.
Yes the directory of the installer.
How can I install the application without (inserting) a Key?
You should find all required steps here: https://www.mathworks.com/help/install/install-products.html
I've installed Matlab a dozen of times just following the instructions on the screen. It was trivial, so I cannot imagine, what exactly is the problem in your case. Can you describe, where you are stuck?
When I run the installer, I select "Use a File Installation Key" and then agree to the license agreement. Then I am on the page, on the image, which I included or on Step 4 on the instructions you sent.
Since I already donloaded the file key (license.lic) (through following the steps on the second option here), I select the first one ("I have the File Installation Key for my license:").
This field seems to be broken, because I cannt select/type/paste/... anything into the field. When I click on it, I can see the blinking cursor, but thats it.
Thats is where I'm stuck. I am hoping, that there is an alternative way, to tell the installer, where the license file is. So that I can just avoid this broken field.
I already tried to redownload the installer.
The license.lic file is not the File Installation Key. You get a personal File Installation Key, if you obtain Matlab on a DVD. For an online installation you receive the license information as license.lic file. You have mentioned, that you have downloaded the installer already. That means, that the File Installation Key is the wrong branch for you.

There has been a history of problems with Linux and not being able to enter text.
@Jan What elese am I supposed to do then with the license.lic file? Anyway I will try to get the "Log in with a MathWorks Account" to work. Currently its unable to connect to a MathWorks.
@Walter Roberson Sadly, this didnt solve my problems. I also think, that my case is a different problem, since I can type into all other textfields, which I have found yet. Just the one for the File Installation Key.
In some of the cases affecting Linux, it was possible to paste into the field ?
@Walter Roberson No, pasting is also not possible.
I have a vague memory that in some of the cases, the technical cause was tracked down to needing to delete/rename one of the mathworks-supplied DLLs to let the system DLL take over. However, I could easily be wrong. I seldom use Linux... the problem has simply come up enough over the years that I was able to recognize it being likely to be a linux-related problem.

Hi Florian,
I see there are multiple issue you are facing , I will try to answer all of them one by one:
1) Issue regarding File installation key : As Jan correctly mentioned , you will get File installation key when you are trying to install MATLAB offline and using DVD. So you should go for the second which will direct you towards Mathworks Login page.
2) Unable to type in text field : This has been known issue is Linux based OS. Refer to this doc for workarounds:https://www.mathworks.com/support/bugreports/details/1797911
3) Error connecting Mathworks login page : This is also a known issue . Refer to this answer

Sorry for my late response.
Regarding the text field input: I have tried quite a few workarounds, like other desktop envierements (dwm, gnomw, xfce, ..) and also other possible fixes, like not using the mouse, or switching window focus, and so on. However I am not sure what is meant with "Change the window focus mode to "click" instead of "mouse" in the settings.". Since this is the only textbox, which does not work, and I should not need to use it anyway, I would just ignore it.
Regarding the Mathworks login page: There I have some problems with a few of these instructions:
The Proxy: It says, that on Mac and Linux, the proxy has to be entered manually. I think, that this is in the "Connection Settings" window, right? And what do I have to enter there?
The firewall and antivirus should not be a problem, since I dont have a antivirus installed, and other users were able to install their matlab on the same network.
