Extract points which are inside a polygon

Hi,
I want to select all the points (latitude,longitude) which are inside the rectangle. I can create a polygon which includes all the points, but I can't find the way to extract them. Can you tell me a simple way to do it?

The inpolygon function comes quickly to mind.
